This page identifies the official Richmond County contacts for a court docket, hearing date, case file, or certified copy. The correct contact is usually the Richmond County Clerk of Superior Court or the court office that holds the case. This private reference resource cannot act for the clerk or court, but the routing below distinguishes the statewide Portal from the county offices that provide official answers.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This is a private reference resource. It cannot obtain dockets, change or reset court dates, remove or seal cases, issue certified copies, or provide legal advice. Those matters must go to the Richmond County Clerk of Superior Court or the court that holds the case.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the following routes for common Richmond County court needs:

  • A docket or Case Summary: use Docket Search through the North Carolina eCourts Portal, or ask the clerk for the local court record
  • A court date or hearing setting: check the Court Schedule channel, then confirm a pending or uncertain setting with the clerk
  • A certified copy: request it from the Richmond County Clerk of Superior Court, the official local record custodian
  • A specific case: use Docket Search by party name, citation number, or case record number
  • A case file or court record: begin with Court Case Records, then contact the clerk for an official document or a record not visible online

For local court dockets and records, contact the Richmond County Clerk of Superior Court at the Richmond County Judicial Center, 105 W. Franklin St., Rockingham, NC 28379, (910) 419-7400. The Judicial Branch lists public hours as Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The same office is the appropriate county contact for a public Case Summary, a case file, a certified copy, or an in-person public-computer search.

For a Superior Court session question or a transcript, the official directory lists the Superior Court Judges Office and Court Reporter at (910) 419-7686. A transcript request is separate from a clerk-held docket or case file. The statewide public search route is the North Carolina eCourts Portal (Tyler Technologies Portal); it provides the Case Summary / Register of Actions, while the clerk remains the source for official copies and restricted-file questions.
